Superflux Beer Company x noissue
Good booze and good food go hand-in-hand here at Superflux. Superflux is a craft brewery based in Vancouver’s Strathcona neighborhood. They offer a selection of beers that might be right up your alley, ranging from IPAs to dry-hopped beers and a lot more.
What started brewing first was the friendship between founders Adam Henderson and Matt Kohlen, both into the craft of brewing beers, who met in happenstance years before their partnership debut in 2015. In their first few years, the two-man team ventured on through collaborations with other breweries until, years later, they decided to finally open their own in 2020. They also have a bar-restaurant based in Downtown Victoria, BC called Superflux {Cabana}, where you can enjoy their brunch to dinner selection together with their signature beers.
Superflux partners with noissue to create on-brand and sustainable packaging that can cater to the retail side of things at the brewery as well as elevate the dining experience of their customers at the bar-restaurant. We chatted with the team at Superflux about the brand and packaging journey, which you can read more about here.
Tell us a bit about your brand, introduce it to the world!
One fine afternoon in 2013, Matt and Adam caught each other's eye across the bar at Local Public Eatery in Kitsilano. A kinship was formed over the discussion of all things beer and the dream of one day opening a brewery.
Our first break came in 2015 with an opportunity to brew for 1 year at a collaborative brewing facility. Under the name Machine Ales, we honed in on our love for IPA and all things hoppy.
After our year was up, we spent the next 4 years contract brewing under our new name, Superflux Beer Company, at a number of local breweries while looking for a spot to build and call our own. This finally happened in late 2018 at an old print shop in East Vancouver.
Two years of building later, we opened our doors to the public and continue to create F*$king Awesome Food and Beverage Experiences throughout BC and expanding across Canada and overseas.
Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
We currently use noissue to support our food programs at Superflux {Cabana} in Victoria, specifically for our Cabana Burger.
What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?
noissue is a great fit for our business, as they're one of the most efficient options for ordering smaller amounts of food grade paper and tissue paper. The team is also great and easy to work with!
