The Post Supply x noissue
There’s never really a shortage of retail stores to visit, explore, and shop at, but stores that make you feel at home and inspired all the same? It's definitely hard to come by. Take Portland’s The Post Supply, for example, a place where inspiration comes easy.
From their selection of home, body, and fashion essentials to an assortment of coffee table books with interesting topics such as art, design, and architecture, among others—all of which are sourced from artists, makers, and creators—The Post Supply becomes nothing short of a shop that excitedly stimulates your creative senses.
Unlike their brick-and-mortar store—where their customers can personally browse what they offer—the first touchpoint their online shoppers will have is their packaging. To connect with their online shoppers in true The Post Supply fashion, they partner with noissue to create a retail packaging suite that reflects their brand aesthetic and values of sustainability.

Tell us a bit about your brand!
The Post Supply is a modern home goods store emphasizing the useful and beautiful every day.
The Post Supply was founded in 2021 by two best friends, Katie Bowes and Hannah Haehn. After scheming for years about opening a home goods store, we took the leap, combining our skillsets and visions to create a shop that acted as a platform for makers, artisans, and brands we were personally connected to or inspired by.
The symbiotic relationships we develop with these people and small businesses imbue the space with meaning and care. The Post Supply assortment is curated through a combination of intuition and careful consideration of many intersecting factors: where and how the product is made, who is making it, how it fits in with our larger vision, and whether customers have been requesting it.
Thought is also given to what each product will add to someone’s life — Will it solve a problem? Provide beauty and inspiration? Make someone feel cared for? Every product we choose is one we'd want in our own home or life. The Post Supply begins and ends with people, from the makers and artisans to the shoppers, friends, and collaborators who fill the shop with life. The Post Supply hopes to make all people in our orbit feel cozy, inspired, and held.
Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
As a small business that drives a lot of sales through our online store, packaging was an imperative component of our customer experience. We worked really hard, thought very deeply, and planned very carefully around how to ensure every single customer who ordered something through our website would have a similar experience to how we aim to make customers feel in our store.
Of course we need the product to make it there safely, but beyond that, we sought to solve how we could ensure that from the moment each customer received their box through to when they open and unwrap their purchases, they feel held by us and our intention to inspire and delight. We wanted a color scheme that felt elevated and inspiring while also grounded and cozy.
We wanted a custom tape that would pop against our boxes so when the package arrived customers would immediately know their order had arrived from us. We worked with friend and designer Jasmine Parsia to create a packaging suite that worked in-store as well as for web orders. She was an incredible partner in the process and really brought our intent to life.
What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?
We chose noissue for a handful of reasons. First, we knew there were several components to our packaging suite and noissue has an incredible breadth of products within their catalog. Next, we loved how easy it was to design and customize each component with the support of their design team.
Finally, their costs are highly competitive with other companies we looked at. As a small business, we are always doing so many things at one time. We are always looking to save on costs while driving our sales and customer experience. noissue allowed us to consolidate our packaging needs under one roof and achieve the quality and feel we wanted for each component at a price that felt achievable.
