Ice cream is the perfect snack for every occasion. Got a birthday celebration coming up? Ice cream cake is an excellent choice. Catching up on the latest TV shows? Go with a pint of your favorite ice cream flavor. A chill day at the beach? An ice cream cone to go with the hot, sunny weather is just the absolute best. What can we say? Ice cream is just too cool (pun intended).
Joe and Duncan knew just how much of a catch ice cream is, so they created Creamy Boys in 2020 with the goal to share just how awesome, fun, and delectable their childhood favorite, New Zealand style ice cream, is and bring it to sunny California. Creamy Boys started as an ice cream truck in Venice Beach and is now a full-on ice cream shop in Hermosa Beach, spreading good vibes and serving freshly-made soft-serve ice cream.
Part of Creamy Boys’ dedication to serving up unforgettable frozen delights and experiences is their commitment to sustainability—from their fresh ingredients to packaging they use. So they partnered with noissue to create ice cream packaging that not only beautifully represents their charming retro aesthetic but is also conveniently recyclable and compostable. A win-win for all!

Tell us a bit about your brand!
We are a kiwi-owned and operated company bringing New Zealand-style real fruit ice cream and hokey pokey to the states! Creamy Boys started in 2020 with an ice cream truck, bought in Arkansas and towed back to Los Angeles to be re-fit to sell ice cream.
The first day of ice cream was up at Zuma Beach, and since then we've done events all around Los Angeles, expanded our catering operations and now have a shop in Hermosa Beach. The core ethos of our brand is sharing one of New Zealand's best inventions with the USA and having fun while we're doing it.
Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
We use retro elements inspired by the traditional home-style nature of our product, coupled with our irreverent and fun brand energy (and a pink pop). Our packaging consists of ice cream cups, take-away pints with lids, and bags for those take-home orders.
What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?
When our customers aren't eating their ice cream from a cone, we want the smallest environmental impact possible, so having recyclable or even better, compostable, cups, is a no-brainer for us.
This was easy to do with noissue without compromising on print and material quality. Plus it opens the door for us to take advantage of the other products and packaging that noissue provides.
