A lot of trends nowadays come and go; due to social media, it is incredibly easy for a lot of fashion enthusiasts to keep an eye out for influencers, trend-setters, aspiring designers, and experts around the globe and see what’s new. But one of the things that seems to adapt to all these due to its flexible, resilient, and sustainable nature is upcycled fashion—it never goes out of style!

If that is totally your jam, then meet the up-and-coming, New York-based upcycled fashion brand, Sloppy Seconds! It was created by founder and designer Maddie West in early 2022. Sloppy Seconds specializes in making one-of-a-kind pieces that fit with almost anything. Their Cropped Army Liner Jacket? Wear it over a basic top so you’re warm and stylish as you stroll around the city. Their Kevin top? Pair it with your favorite jeans, and it’s the perfect date fit. The possibilities are endless.

Sustainability has always been and always will be a part of Sloppy Seconds’ ethos, from sourcing second-hand clothing and deadstock fabrics to designing and reworking them by hand. Their commitment also extends to the packaging they use for shipping their products, which they partnered with noissue for. Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?

We decided to keep the design of the tote bags simple - featuring only our logo - in order to highlight the product that will go inside it: our garments! The totes have become a staple in our brand packaging as every product we sell is placed into a tote and shipped to their new homes.

The totes have also been a fun addition to our in-person popups and all of our customers leave excited to show off their new piece and tote! We love that it is an approach to packaging that can be used over and over again - for any purpose.

What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?

noissue has been an amazing resource to bring the vision of our brand to life. noissue is easy to navigate, fairly priced and full of incredible templates that can elevate your brand. Our favorite part is the in-house designers that make the collaboration process especially smooth with their attention to detail. Already looking forward to adding new branding materials to our packaging with noissue!
