We chatted with Greta Kerr, Owner of SPIRAL Botanicals, about how floristry presents as a gateway for human connection, artistic expression, and artisanal skill, and how, when paired with noissue’s packaging, it emphasizes sustainability in both function and style.
Tell us a bit about your brand, introduce it to the world!
SPIRAL Botanicals is a female-led, sustainable florist based in NewActon, Canberra (Ngunnawal Country). We strive to return art, emotion, beauty and sustainability to the forefront of contemporary floral design. SPIRAL advocates for the natural world, human connection and artisanal skill through our bespoke bouquets and artistic arrangements that utilize locally grown, seasonal flowers. We work purely with reusable or compostable mechanics for all event and installation work, and offer floral design classes suited to those looking for an eco-conscious experience in floristry.
Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
SPIRAL uses noissue's customizable tissue paper in presenting all our gift bouquets, to protect and package the flowers whilst highlighting our brand and logo.
What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?
Our sustainability focus makes noissue a perfect fit for our packaging, as their Eco-Alliance Certification, carbon offsetting and overall aim of creating accessible and truly eco-friendly packaging resonated with our company's purpose. In creating SPIRAL, we hoped it would be clear to clients that whilst flowers are a luxury, they do not need to cost the earth. We feel that noissue operates under a similar ethos, being that sustainable, branded packaging can be used and loved by any and all companies that have a common interest in securing the natural resources required for future generations.
